17 May 2003    Canberra Times column "Panorama - The Arts" by Helen Musa

"Our illustrator/cartoonist Ian Sharpe and his partner Jan Matson are on to a good thing. Last year they had an exhibition "A Room with a View" based on their 2001 holiday in Europe. It enabled a second trip to Europe in 2002. Now the exhibition from that trip is on show. No prizes for guessing where the proceeds of this show will be going. 'A Villa in Tuscany' is at Urambi Village Community Centre today and tomorrow 10am to 5pm"

10 May 2002    Canberra Times column 'A Capital Life' by Helen Musa

"Canberra Times cartoonist Ian Sharpe enjoys a double life - he is a serious painter too. He and his equally painterly partner Jan Matson are exhibiting the results of a leisurely European tour last year in 'A Room with Many Views' which can be viewed today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm at the Urambi Village Community Centre, Entrance B, Crozier Circuit, Kambah. Sharpe says they wasted no time on their journey - even painting as they waited for a bus."

17 October 2000    The Chronicle

"Greenway resident Jan Matson says she has had a life-long love of colour and the bush, hence her solo exhibition's name."
